Age: 102 (looks about 27 or so)
Race: Elf
Class: Assassin
Description:
From top to bottom.
Korkyta stands about 6'4 ft tall and weights about 155 lb. His skin is rather pale, like he has barely gone into sun light for most of his days and his build is light, angular and quick. His hair is black, straight and ends about the middle of his back. His bangs, which are long, but end about the collar bone (perhaps an inch or two longer) has been dyed white. His eyes are dark coal gray, mistaken for black.
He wears a black, cotton shirt (long sleeved and loose) with black canvas pants, black belt with a gold buckle, black boots (leather) that reach up to the middle of his calf and finally, a long black wool cloak with a hood. He also wears a cowl (scarf like thing that covers the mouth a nose) and black leather gloves.
Armor: none
Personality: cold hearted and not the most social/friendly person to exist. Korkyta prefers his money and jobs, thus pushes aside those around him roughly and will only listen if their words are beneficial to him and his dead end career. As to how far he'll go to get a job done, he'll range between kidnapping, murders and... that's it. (no, no rape. He's not he most sexually active guy or really all that power hungry either.) However, he has his weaknesses. He falls for blackmail with money and priceless jewels easily (to the point where it's pathetic) and is also easily insulted. His temper can flare up on the drop of a pin, which is another down fall he has. Once in a while he'll help others but usually.. he wants something in return. He doesn't drink much (alcohol wise) and isn't that kind of guy to go down the "entertainment" alley if you know what I mean (stated before... he's got no life. XD) However, this doesn't mean he's gay or anything... he just has more interest in cash and jobs rather than a social life.
Strengths: stealth, bargaining, long ranged weaponry, money
Weaknesses: Temper, money, blackmail, close up combat, heavy weaponry
Brief History: Korkyta was born into a tribe of rather vicious elves. These elves, separated by their choice, believed that all things around them were lower than them. Thus, they figured it was their mission to do something about the larger population of weaklings.
Now, just to put this in so that you (reader) don’t get scared, said tribe only consisted of 40 to 50 elves. Nothing big. And because of their violent nature, their population is growing smaller and smaller. As well, this insane idea came from a cracked up elder elf who managed to get this many to follow him by false promises and dreams. But a few “false” promises accidentally came true (destroy and protect our ways by slaughtering those who come into our grounds [which isn’t a whole lot of ground…>.>]) well, for those poor travelers who did come in, these blood thirsty elves had their fun of killing and got whatever the traveler was holding. Money, food.. whatever. Nothing that valuable in reality, but to these elves, it was priceless. So, the were content and not much mutiny wise really happened… except to Korkyta.
Korkyta was raised to be an assassin: Run through the forest from time to time to hit off anyone that went through it. He also helped with raids sometimes. Well, one raid (which was on a small passing family of humans), Korkyta did something that would cause him to be exiled from his vicious tribe. Rule for raids: No one lives. Korkyta saved the 4 year old girl from her death. For that, he was kicked out his tribe.
Ever since then (and that was about 12 years ago), Korkyta has been wandering around as a for hire assassin and body guard when needed. Needless to say, because of his temper and what he is, he isn’t hired all that often and certainly not by those who follow the law. So… he’s kinda a wanted man in some places. Small towns here and there. Korkyta has no home and continues to travel for money.
Rp Example:
The birds soft singing stopped abruptly when a loud snapping of a twig ringed through the dense forest. The heavy boot that caused the twig to snap made no pause like the singing of the fowls above, but continued on its way with its owner. Tall and dark with an intimidating aura, Korkyta shifted his bow on his back and trudged through a few bushes nearby. Fixing his cowl to cover his nose a bit more, his dark eyes shifted around, taking in the woods around him. Daggers up his sleeve ready for tossing, the elf made sure nothing would sneak up on him.
After a while longer of hiking through the trees, Korkyta paused as the tip of his black boot brushed along the lines of a gravel road. Dark eyes narrowed, he crouched down and listened. Birds… wind in the trees…. Clopping of horses. Dark brows raised and eyes rounder in surprise, Korkyta growled and cursed and oath under his breath before darting back into the trees behind him. Once he rolled into some nearby bushes, he went as still as possible. So alert and concerned with the coming horses, he didn’t realize that his roll had twisted the string of his bow around a twig on the ground. Said twig would not stay for long and just as the horses passed him it fell with a light twang of the string and crackle of the leaves on the ground. Korkyta felt like his heart just stopped and his eyes grew even wider in worry.
